EFT Journey to Healing: Supporting Women Over 40 on a path to Recovery from Eating Disorders
On today's episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing Stephanie Farrell, a homeopathic doctor who is trained in various modalities such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Matrix Reimprinting, yoga, and more. Stephanie's primary focus is on working with women over the age of 40 who are struggling with eating disorders.
Stephenie opens up about her own complex trauma, both in childhood and adulthood, that led to the development of eating discord that lasted well until her 40’s. She shares her personal journey of recovery and how traditional cognitive and medical models of treatment didn't work for her until she discovered healing through mindfulness, yoga, intuitive eating and EFT, which became the driving force behind her decision to pursue a career in this field. Throughout the episode, we delve into the deep-rooted connection between eating disorders and trauma, as well as the common misconceptions surrounding these disorders.
One of Stephenie's main tools in her practice is EFT, which she utilizes to help individuals reconnect with their bodies, understand the root cause of their eating disorder, and embark on a transformative path towards recovery. This powerful technique addresses the emotional and psychological aspects of eating disorders, providing a means for healing and finding balance. Stephenie's expertise and insights offer valuable guidance for those seeking to understand and overcome eating disorders.
